Rock For Choice ‘22What is Rock For Choice? Rock For Choice was a series of benefit concerts held over the ten-year period between 1991 and 2001. The concerts were designed to allow musicians to show their support for the abortion rights movement in the United States and Canada. The first Rock for Choice concert was organized by L7, who brought their idea for a pro-abortion rights benefit concert modeled on Bob Geldof's Live Aid. Bands who have played Rock for Choice include: L7, Nirvana, Hole, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Joan Jett, Pearl Jam & more.

In 2019, in line with the decriminalisation movement in NI, the first Rock For Choice benefit was held in Northern Ireland which was covered in The Guardian
Following on from the success of the first ever Rock for Choice NI show in September 2019, having taken a pause during the pandemic, the next benefit was held on September 30th 2022. Featuring local musicans and raising funds for Alliance for Choice Derry
